Meru: Woman clobbers ex-husband breaking his arm in vicious beating

Police officers in Meru are probing an incident in which a woman broke her ex-husband’s arm.

According to reports, the woman attacked her former flame with a metal bar at his home, breaking his arm in the process.

The Thursday night incident happened at Ntabarene village in Igembe South and puzzled residents as the couple had separated 24 years ago.

“I have not seen her for over 24 years, I need protection from the government as I cannot tell what she will do next,” the man identified as Moses Kirema said.

The couple, according to neighbors, went separate ways 24 years ago and the woman re-married.

She was in the company of her current husband when she descended on her ex-husband with blows.

Angry residents expressed their horror at the act and demanded swift action from the police in putting the assailant behind bars .
