Bronik Odhiambo, popularly known as Prof. Aduol, or Oburu Junior, has carved a name for himself in the entertainment industry, by successfully mimicking Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Dr. Oburu Oginga.

Oburu has been in the headlines since assuming the leadership of ODM following the death of his brother and party founder, Raila Amollo Odinga, in October 2025.

And the Siaya Senator has not disappointed since assuming his new role, moving audiences and Kenyans online with his witty speeches.

Perhaps this is what moved Prof. Aduol to start mimicking him. But before Oburu, he used to entertain his siblings and friends by imitating other politicians.

"I could make them laugh in the house, everybody was just laughing," he says.

He started making content during the corona pandemic, but still did not share it. He kept entertaining his school mates in high school, where he earned the name Professor Aduol.

His comic skits grew day-by-day until Raila died, where he imitated Dr. Oburu mourning him. And that is when his breakthrough happened.

"I imitated Oburu saying, 'go well my brother, go well my friend.' A friend of mine encouraged me to make it sharable content but I ignored him. When he insisted, I did it and posted on TikTok," he adds.

Prof. Aduol says the post went viral, attracting millions of views and shares, something that encouraged him to continue.

Oburu's son was the first to call and encourage him to make more content around his father.

He says more celebrities reached out to encourage him, and he has not looked back since.
