Opposition leaders Dr. Fred Matiang’i of Jubilee and his Party of National Unity (PNU) counterpart Peter Munya have called out President William Ruto over what they said is his administration’s inability to tame goons.

This after rowdy youth armed with batons barricaded the road leading to the Maili Tatu Centre with stones, moments before their convoy made its way to the area, on the second day of their Meru County tour on Friday.

They accused Meru Governor Isaac Mutuma of being complicit.

The leader, at the same time, accused the Head of State of failing to tame corruption during his four-year tenure.

Sindio? Wametuharibia elimu ambayo ilikuwa imetengenezwa, ata watoto wa maskini walikuwa wanasoma. Mambo ya afya wameharibu yote. Ni wizi tu wanafanya. Sindio?”
