Maraga promises transparency as presidential campaign fundraiser gains momentum

“My commitment to you, as best as humanly possible, guided by integrity and constitutional fidelity, is that of complete transparency, accountability, and in the responsible handling of your resources, data, time and effort,” said Maraga.
Maraga, who is eyeing the 2027 presidential ticket unveiled a crowdfunding campaign on his website, seeking the support of well-wishers.
Through the website, the retired Chief Justice also seeks registrations for volunteers to support his presidential aspirations.
Maraga had announced that his campaigns unlike those of his fellow contenders, will be people driven and he will pump a modest amount of his savings into the campaign kitty.
The presidential contender has expressed gratitude on the goodwill initiatives, describing it as “a true statement to the evolution of Kenyan politics.”
“Your continued contributions and volunteer sign-up on the website is a true statement to the evolution of Kenyan politics that Kenyans have for a long time demanded . You are building this change yourselves. This is your journey,” noted Maraga
Maraga has been at the forefront of utilizing digital platforms to drive his campaigns, with real time data showing the contributions made at any given point.
“Our technical team continues to strength our digital platform’s capacity and security. This will include the public ticker on all digital fundraising platforms. We ask that you please be patient with us as we get this running strong. As those in the digital technology practice will understand, this may sometimes require downtime for brief maintenance periods,” said Maraga.
He also added that his campaign’s technical team is working on a platform to collect and properly organize feedback, a move he says will ensure that Kenyans are part of crafting his agenda.
“A vision that evolves to address the growing needs of a diverse and dynamic society. So you see, this is truly your journey, and the digital platforms we are rolling out will be bold infrastructure inspired by this young and courageous generation. Our campaign reminds me that the Kenyan spirit is well and truly alive, and I am deeply honoured to share this part of it with all of you,” noted Maraga.
The former head of Kenya’s judiciary has been at the forefront of faulting Kenya Kwanza administration for attrocities such as disregard for constitution and human rights.
