United Green Movement party leader and presidential hopeful David Maraga has condemned the chaos that was witnessed at the Witima ACK Church in Othaya, backing calls for nationwide demonstrations to demand accountability and action against those responsible.

Maraga spoke in Mombasa ahead of a Coast voter registration campaign, where he described the incident as unacceptable and said those involved should be dealt with in accordance with the law.

He also hinted at the possibility of joining a united opposition front in its push to unseat President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.

The former Chief Justice said leaders have the freedom to worship anywhere, and urged authorities to take decisive action against perpetrators of the disruption.
