Man strangles wife to death, commits suicide in Vihiga

A 40-year-old man is alleged to have strangled his wife to death before committing suicide in Wamuluma, Vihiga County, on Saturday.

Confirming the incident, area Chief Henry Chunguli said the man locked his wife’s body in the bedroom after committing the act.

According to the administrator, police officers who responded to the scene broke down the door and found the woman’s body with marks on the neck.

He further stated that preliminary investigations led the officers to a neighbour’s toilet where the man’s body was found.
