Police in Ol Kalou in Nyandarua County are holding a man suspected to have brutally murdered his father over Ksh.6000.

Daniel Kamau Maina, 38, is reported to have attacked his father with a jembe (machete) and later a knife.

Speaking to Citizen Digital before police arrived at the scene in Silanga village, the suspect accused his father John Wanjohi of being ‘rude, irresponsible and arrogant’.

“He talked to me badly as I was asking for my money and then hit me, so I took a jembe and attacked him and then went for the knife,” said Kamau.

He even added that he had no regrets for his actions and laughed off the killing.

The body of the deceased was moved to JM Memorial Hospital in Ol Kalou awaiting post mortem as police continue with investigations.
