Man injured after rally car hits his tricyle on Kitui-Kibwezi road

A man is nursing injuries at a Makueni hospital after his tricycle was hit by a rally car along Kitui Kibwezi road on Sunday.
The accident occurred at Kanyungu area in Kikumbulyu, Makueni County.
Confirming the incident, Makueni County Police Commander Joseph Ole Napeiyan said the
three-wheeled motorcycle was crossing the highway when it was hit by the speeding rally car.
Ole Napeiyan said that even though the rally car got minor
damages, the driver and his co-driver escaped uninjured.
They continued with the race thereafter.
The police boss further noted that a notice of the rally had prior been issued to residents residing along Kitui-Kibwezi road, Kibwezi and Emali towns along Mombasa Road.
