A 55-year-old man with roots in Rangwe, Homa Bay County lost his life on Thursday after being electrocuted at Nyagweso Livestock Market.

Reports say that the deceased, livestock trader David Okendo, met his demise after stepping on a live wire while tending to livestock in the area.

Four of his cows were similarly electrocuted to death during the incident.

According to West Kochia Location Acting Chief  Kenneth Odhiambo Odero, the trader died on the spot alongside the animals which he was to sell at the market.
