Police
FC captain Musa Mohammed says the team has quickly adapted to the coaching
philosophy of their new head coach Zdravko Logarušić and they are looking
forward to a very competitive season.
Speaking
to Citizen Digital, Musa said it has
been easy for the team to adapt to the coach's tactics since he has coached a
majority of the first team players while at Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.
“He
is familiar with most of the players who he has worked with at Gor Mahia and AFC
and he knows how to use them…this has made work easy for both the players and
the technical bench and we are looking forward to more great matches and good
results to come,” said Musa.
Over
the weekend Police defeated Muranga Seals 2-0 and the captain says it is down
to them sticking to the coaches’ instructions of maintaining tactical
discipline.
“Muranga
Seals is a very tough side beat and getting three points and keeping a clean
sheet against them is something to be proud of as a team,” added Musa.
Being
seventh in the league standings Police will be travelling away on Sunday to
face bottom side Muhoroni Youth and the veteran defender says they won’t
underestimate their opponents despite their struggles.
“Those struggling teams can be very stubborn,” he said. “At some point we have to be very careful and avoid any disappointment on Sunday so we won’t dare underestimate them even when they are bottom of the table,” the defender told Citizen Digital.
