The hearing of the impeachment motion against Meru Governor
Kawira Mwangaza has entered its second day.
Today, Mwangaza is tabling her evidence before the Senate
and cross-examination and re-examination of witnesses will take place.
Adrian Aruyaru, a member of Meru Njuri Ncheke and
Chairperson of Tigania West, Tigania East and Tigania Central is among witnesses
testifying.
Aruyaru has narrated events of October 14, where he says a
section of Members of the County Assembly took oath at the Njuri Ncheke shrine.
At the event, Meru Deputy Governor Isaac Mutuma was given
blessings to be the leader, as seen in a recording played at the senate.
