LIST: CS Murkomen reshuffles regional and county commissioners

The Ministry of Interior has announced a major reshuffle affecting Regional Commissioners and County Commissioners in changes aimed at enhancing efficiency and improving service delivery across the country.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen in a statement issued on Friday, said the transfers and deployments were intended to strengthen coordination of National Government functions and address emerging security and administrative concerns.
“The transfers have taken into consideration the strengths
and experiences of the officers as we address the various security and service
delivery concerns,” the statement read.
Among the changes at the Regional Commissioner level, Rhoda
Nyaboke Onyancha was moved from Coast Region to Nairobi, while Paul Rotich was
transferred from Eastern Region to Coast.
Samson Macharia Irungu and Flora Nkatha Mworoah were both
moved to the Office of the President headquarters from Western and Nyanza
regions, respectively.
The ministry also promoted several County Commissioners to
Regional Commissioner positions. Jacob O. Muganda, who had been serving as Meru
County Commissioner, was deployed to the Eastern Region, while Kakamega County
Commissioner Onesmus Musyoki Kyatha was moved to the Nyanza Region in a promotion
capacity.
Allan Machari was deployed from the Office of the President
headquarters to the Western Region as Regional Commissioner.
At the County Commissioner level, several officers were
transferred across counties.
Joseph Kibet Boen was moved from Kiambu to Kilifi, Stephen
Kutwa Sangolo from Baringo to Lamu, and Jeremiah Mwai Gicheru from Kericho to
Tana River.
John Kiprotich Cheruiyot was transferred from Samburu to
Meru, while Mwachaunga Mohamed Chaunga moved from Kisii to Machakos.
Other changes saw Shufaa Omar Mwijuma transferred from
Nyamira to Kirinyaga, Alason Hussein from Kirinyaga to Trans Nzoia, and Wesley
Koech Mabwai from Lamu to Baringo.
The ministry also announced new deployments, including
Jackson Ngelai Olechuta to Garissa, Ronald O. Enyakasi to Wajir, and Stanley
Ndungu Kamande to Marsabit.
George Odhiambo Omolo was deployed to Isiolo, Isaac Keter
Cheruiyot to Samburu, George O. Matundura to Kiambu, and Ali Omari to Kericho.
