Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and the Linda Mwananchi team were on Sunday forced to sneak through footpaths and bumpy roughroads to access Nyandiwa, one of the venues where they held their rallies.

This after roads leading to Nyandiwa were barricaded by rival groups, rendering them inaccessible.

The Linda Mwananchi convoy could be seen sneaking through farms, rocky paths and later joining the main highway, with security on foot to protect the team leaders.

Earlier, Sifuna had laughed off the move to block the roads with heavy blocks, saying they would still access their venues as planned.

Homabay is an ODM stronghold, and currently supporting President William Ruto's administration.

Leaders such as Homabay Town MP Peter Kaluma warned Linda Mwananchi that they are firmly in government, and no amount of 'wantam' slogans would change that.
