AFC Leopards have lined up a friendly match against Spanish side AE Ramassa next month when the club will be marking its 60th anniversary.

Secretary General Gilbert Andugu revealed that Ingwe will feature their legends against the Fourth Division side after FKF advised against playing the current first team players.

He did not reveal details on when the friendly fixture will take place and the venue.

"There is an invitation of a Spanish team that is expected to be in the country to play Leopards in a friendly match- although we wanted the visitors to play against our senior team but unfortunately FKF has advised us otherwise.

“So we will nevertheless field our former players who are our legends to play that day. We will have a good team of legends who still have firepower to showcase good football,” said Andugu.

Andugu said the 12-time league champions will also stage an inter-branches fans' tournament, adding that they have invited guest teams from all over Africa to participate during the celebrations.

“We have invited many guests from our very own locals, some from Uganda, Rwanda and many other countries. We shall keep updating the program to shed light on what we are going to do and which teams will play among other things", said Andugu.

Some of the club’s successes since it was founded in 1964 are 12 league titles, 10 FKF Cups and five CECAFA Club Championship crowns.
