Mwinamo says the stiff competition between league leaders Gor Mahia and second-placed AFC Leopards is far from over despite the latter enjoying a seven-point cushion.
“These title race is very interesting the two rivals are going neck to neck ,though Gor won the derby and many thought it is over thye have gone to drop points and even AFC but I belive we are going to have a very good ending to the league ,”said Mwinamo.
Having played one match less than the league leaders Gor, AFC take on struggling Ulinzi Stars at the Nyayo national stadium on Saturday and a win will see them narrow the gap to four points.
“Leopards have really improved these season the attracting top player and keeping their best plus they are receiving some good support from the management and even if they don’t win the title this season they will be in it next season,”added Mwinamo
Mwinamo has also tipped his side to kick off their bid to reclaim their national Kenya Secondary School Sports Association (KSSSA) title they lost to St. Josephs Kitale.
“It was unfortunate we were not able to defend the title last year but this year the team looks sharp we are number one in the county league and I believe we have what it takes to reclaim the title,” stated the head coach.
