The Oilers completed a convincing 2-0 semi-final playoff series victory after registering a commanding 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-18) win over DCI in Game Two at the Kasarani Indoor Arena on Saturday.
Having also claimed the opening match in straight sets on Friday, KPC wrapped up the best-of-three series without dropping a set, underlining their credentials as favourites to successfully defend the national crown.
The reigning champions started strongly, controlling the opening set with solid attacking play and disciplined defending to take it 25-19. DCI mounted a spirited fight in the second set, pushing KPC all the way and threatening to level the contest, but the Oilers remained composed during the decisive moments to edge the set 25-23.
With the momentum firmly on their side, KPC raised the tempo in the third set, combining powerful spikes with effective blocking and accurate serving to seal a comfortable 25-18 victory and complete another straight-sets triumph.
The victory extends KPC's impressive run this season as they continue to demonstrate the consistency that has made them one of Kenya's most successful women's volleyball teams.
Head coach Geoffrey Omondi lauded his players for maintaining high standards despite a demanding schedule that has seen them compete both locally and internationally.
"The players put in a fantastic performance today. I am proud of the character and mental strength they have shown. They have come from competing in Rwanda, travelled to Mombasa, and are now back competing at the highest level in the national league. Despite the demanding schedule, they have remained focused, disciplined, and determined to win. Qualifying for the finals is a testament to their hard work and resilience," said Omondi.
KPC's qualification comes after weeks of intensive competition, with the team juggling commitments in regional tournaments alongside domestic league fixtures. Their ability to maintain top form despite the hectic calendar reflects the depth and experience within the squad.
The Oilers will now turn their attention to the KVF Women's National League finals, scheduled for July 17-19 at the Kasarani Indoor Arena, where they will face the winner of the other semi-final pitting Kenya Prisons against KCB Volleyball Club.
