Kisumu: Man killed by suspected cattle rustlers

A middle-aged man was killed on Thursday night after he was shot with an arrow by suspected cattle rustlers in Kaduong Village, Oboch Location, Nyakach Sub-county, Kisumu County.
The victim reportedly confronted the suspects after they raided his home in the dead of night.
Eyewitnesses said he stepped outside in an attempt to fend off the attackers before they struck him with a bow and arrow and fled into the darkness.
Family members and neighbours rushed him to Nyabondo Mission Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Village elder Tom Sure said residents are living in fear amid a surge in cattle theft raids and urged security agencies to intensify patrols and apprehend those behind the attacks.
