Kirinyaga secondary school teacher charged with defiling student

A 37-year-old teacher at a secondary school in Kirinyaga County was on Thursday arraigned at a Kerugoya Court on defilement charges involving a 17-year-old girl. 

Mark Musebe appeared before the Kerugoya Court Senior Resident Magistrate Derrick Kuto and was accused of defiling the girl on 24th May 2026 at 10:00 p.m. in Kirinyaga Central Sub-County, Kirinyaga County.

Musebe pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The court released him on a bond of Ksh 500,000 with a surety of the same amount.

He is expected back in court on 15th June 2026 for mention.
