Residents of Msabaha in Ganda Ward located in Malindi, Kilifi County, have decried the delayed completion of the Msabaha-Ganda-Sabaki road.

Locals have called on the government to expedite the construction of the road in order to address transportation challenges along the busy route.

Led by activist Steven Bahati Mlanda, the residents have expressed dissatisfaction with what he described as the "sluggish pace" of the road construction exercise, which has disrupted transportation.

Mlanda stated that the road project was initiated nearly 10 years ago under the leadership of former Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa.

"Only one kilometer of the road remains to be completed. We call on the government to put more effort into finishing the project," he added.

Additionally, Mlanda called on the Kilifi County government to reopen some of the local feeder roads in the area in order to improve transportation.
