National Super League side Kibera Black Stars are bracing for a tough away assignment against promotion-chasing Migori Youth following their disappointing defeat to 3K last weekend.

‎Kibera fell 2-1 to 3K, a result that pushed them down to eighth place on the NSL standings with 51 points, and attention has now turned to Saturday’s crucial clash against Migori Youth, who are currently second on the table with 68 points despite also suffering defeat in their previous match.

‎Speaking to Citizen Digital ahead of the encounter, Kibera Black Stars head coach Iddi Badi admitted that the fixture will be a difficult one, especially because his side will be playing away from home, and against a team determined to secure the National Super League title.

‎"Ours is to work on the areas that did not work on our match against 3K. Migori Youth is a good side considering they are playing at home with a strong fan base,” he explained. “We are preparing our players in matters mental strengthen because we also need to finish strong, among the top five.".

‎Despite the challenge ahead, Badi expressed confidence in his squad and revealed that the team has no injury concerns ahead of the trip to Migori. The tactician also emphasized that all players remain in contention for selection because he does not operate with a fixed starting line-up.

‎"As a coach, I do not have a favourite. Everyone has a chance to play based on merit in training. So far, so good, we do not have major injury concerns," he added.

‎Kibera will draw motivation from their first-leg meeting against Migori Youth, where they  secured victory on home soil. The Nairobi-based side will now be hoping to complete a season double over one of the league’s strongest contenders as the NSL campaign heads into its decisive stage.
