Kenya’s Mohamed Katana nets brace against Real Madrid U-17

Kenya’s Mohamed Katana Nyanje scored twice as Aspire Football Dreams beat Real Madrid U-17 2-0 to be crowned champions of Al Kass International Cup.
Katana was also recognized as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and was awarded a $3,000 cheque in a lavish closing ceremony of the Al Kass International Cup 2016 for his standout performance during the tournament.
Katana is, along with a few other Kenyans, on soccer scholarship at the prestigious at the Aspire Academy in Saly, Senegal.
Aspire Academy was founded in 2004 with the goal to find and develop the best young athletes, whilst also providing them with high quality secondary school education.
Al Kass International Cup (of amateurs aged under 17) is an annual global football championship for clubs and is aimed at forging youths’ skills and preparing them to be amongst tomorrow’s football World Cup stars.
