Kenya's first female MP Mama Grace Onyango dies at 99

The First female Member of Parliament in post-independence Kenya Mama Grace Onyango, has passed on at the age of 99.
Mama Grace succumbed to illness on Wednesday evening at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Her daughter Pauline Akwacha has confirmed her demise.
Mama Grace is also the first Kenyan female mayor after she replaced Mathias Ondiek as the Kisumu Mayor in 1965.
