National men's hockey team, Chui, Tuesday evening put aside all the drama and distractions to get off to a flying start at the Africa Nations Championship with a 4-1 thumping win over Namibia in Accra, Ghana.

Chui squad touched down in Accra hours to their group ‘A’ opening clash against the Southwest Africans following late arrival of the team due to financial issues, and despite the off-field drama, the Kenyans stormed the semi finals after the Namibia win to make a huge statement of intent.

Goals from skipper Constant Wakhura, evergreen Allain Iningu, Francis Kariuki and Festus Onyango gave Chui the much needed three points at the Theodosia Okoh Stadium in Ghana's capital. Namibia scored in the second quarter in the 18th minute through Tjikuniva Isascar.
