Kenya to host the Africa Road Safety Conference 2026

The conference will be held on November 26–27 at the KCB Leadership Centre in Karen and will be jointly convened by KCB Group Plc and the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP).

The two-day meeting is expected to provide a platform for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences on road safety, including enforcement, road-user behaviour, infrastructure, emergency response and community interventions.

Participants will also have an opportunity to learn from African and international experts while exploring approaches to addressing road crashes and improving safety for vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, cyclists, children and persons with disabilities.

The conference will further provide opportunities for networking among government institutions, development partners, researchers, private-sector organisations and civil society groups involved in road-safety initiatives.

For Kenyan participants, the conference offers a platform to share the country's experiences and practices while contributing perspectives to discussions on the continent's road-safety priorities.

It is also expected to facilitate partnerships and identify potential resources for road-safety programmes, community initiatives and other interventions aimed at reducing road-related injuries and deaths.

The organisers said the event will be particularly relevant to professionals working in public administration, security, transport, enforcement, emergency management and community development, given the links between road safety, public safety and service delivery.
