Former Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) women's league champions Kenya Pipeline completed a double against Post Bank, after stunning them in straight sets to book a semi-final slot the ongoing play-offs staged today Saturday at Nyayo Stadium.

The Oilers had their work cut out winning convincingly in the sets of (25-10, 25-6, 25-8).

Kenya Pipeline head coach Esther Jepkosgei was wowed by her charges performance, buoyant of reclaiming the title this season.

"My team played well, we are going to prepare well for the semis and I believe we will win," she said.

On his part, Post Bank coach Vanon Kahinga vowed to regroup and come back stronger next season.

"Kenya Pipeline is a tough opponent and so far I believe my players have played well. We will go prepare and come stronger next season," he stated.

Kenya Pipeline will now clash against Kenya Prisons in the semis.

Earlier on, defending champions Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) stunned Kenya Army 3-1 (25-17, 25-16, 20-25, 25-20) in another quarter final return leg fixture to stay on course to defending their title.

The bankers convincingly won the first two sets 25-17 and 25-16 before the army women grabbed the third set 20-25. The reigning champions then reclaimed their mojo to bag the fourth set 25-20 to seal the Semi-final berth.

The bankers are set to meet DCI in their semi final clash with head coach Japheth Munala confident of sailing through to the final.

"Today's game was good, the girls played well. Going into the semis we look forward to be on top of our game, sail to the final then fight to defend our title.

At Kasarani Indoor Arena, Kenya Prisons and DCI also booked their semi-final tickets after stunning KDF and Nairobi Prisons 3-0 and 3-1 respectively.
