The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a partial night-time closure of a section of the A8/B10 Highway from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) turn-off to the Elephant Roundabout to facilitate maintenance works.

In a public notice by KeNHA Director General Luka Kimeli on Thursday, the agency said the closure will take effect nightly from April 10 to April 19, between 10pm and 5am.

KeNHA noted that only part of the carriageway will be closed at a time to minimise disruption to traffic flow along the busy highway corridor.

Motorists using the route were advised to adhere to the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with police officers and traffic marshals who will be deployed on site.

The authority added that normal traffic operations will resume once the maintenance works are completed.
