The bankers comfortably dispatched the Seychelles side 3-0, posting set scores of 25-9, 25-14, and 25-17 to register their second consecutive win and tighten their grip at the top of the group standings.
Head coach Japheth Munala named a strong starting lineup featuring Marlene Terry, Deborah Jesang, Mercy Moim, Belinda Barasa, Juliana Namutira, and Esther Mutinda, with Mildred Jerop, Sharon Serem, and Cherono also making impactful appearances during the match.
Speaking after guiding her team to victory, Sharon Serem said they were out to keep their mojo from the start.
“We came into this match determined to maintain our momentum, and I am proud of how the team executed the game plan. Everyone stepped up, and we are taking it one match at a time as we push for our objectives in this competition.”
KCB’s strong form follows another emphatic performance on April 15, where they secured a 3-0 victory over Nigeria’s VPC, underlining their status as one of the top contenders in the competition.
“The players showed great composure and tactical discipline today. We have been working on consistency and teamwork, and it’s encouraging to see that translate into results on the court. We’ll keep improving as the tournament progresses, “ quipped Head Coach Japheth Munala.
KCB will now turn their attention to their final Group D fixture on Friday, where they are set to face Litto Team at 5:00 p.m East African Time, aiming to seal the group stage with a perfect record.
