Kate Actress shows off her trim figure after undergoing a gastric balloon procedure

Kenyan actress Catherine Kamau, alias Kate Actress has undergone a cosmetic gastric balloon procedure to aid in weight loss. 

The former ‘Mother in Law’ actress shared a before and after video in a black dress and tights, matched-up with black boots while dancing to a slowed version of ‘Sugarcane’ by Camidoh as she flaunted the transformation progress.

The photos showed a drastic change and visible weight loss, complete with a cinched waist and washboard flat tummy. 

Speaking to her fans on Instagram, Kate said the main reason she needed to shed a bit of weight and tone her body was in order to take up a certain role in acting.

“Same girl,…One thing about me I will love the hell out of me, in whatever size.” she captioned the video.

“The balloon occupies about 15 to 20% depending on your stomach size. Its 500ml. Your stomach can hold upto 3 liters, this means you feel full, so you eat less. Portion control thus resulting in weight loss. I chose the gastric balloon,” wrote Kate in a lengthy social media post.

According to a Nairobi Bariatric Centre listing, the procedure can cost up to half a million shillings depending on which option you choose. 

The endoscopic balloon and swallowable balloon cost  between Ksh. 350,000 and Ksh. 500,000 respectively.

Like other weight-loss procedures, an intragastric balloon requires commitment to a healthier lifestyle which the award winning actress has vowed to .
