Kariobangi North Member of County Assembly Joel Munuve has passed away.
Speaker of the Assembly Ken Ng'ondi said Munuve passed away while receiving treatment at a hospital on Kiambu Road.
Munuve was elected on an independent ticket in the 2022 general election.
Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai said that Munuve's cause of death has not yet been established but he had complained of some pain while being driven to the hospital on Tuesday morning.
"He was picked from home by a friend, Peter, but on the way coming to town he started complaining of some pain. He just died in front of the hospital here," Alai said.
"Burial arrangements will be communicated later. We pray that his soul rest in peace."
