According to the Wiper boss, President Ruto is planning to "escape" the polls by sponsoring mayhem to disrupt peace during elections.
This came moments after the Linda Mwananchi brigade was attacked in Homa Bay county during a politicial tour, condemning the attack while accusing the regime of sponsoring violence.
"Ruto's nay sayers and Linda Mwananchi have been heavily stoned and journalist cameras destroyed. These are not goons but militias. What has happened in Homa Bay isn't acceptable. Stop sitting in that office pretending to lead Kenya. Goons in Kenya are changing to militias. This is making the country ungovernable," he said during a church service in Machakos County.
"(Interior) PS Raymond Omollo should resign peacefully as we have 358 days remaining. Ruto regime is looking on ways to escape elections but Kenyans won't allow. I advise Ruto very strongly kindly stop the run down."
Kalonzo argued that President Ruto bears the responsibility to uphold national security, and allowing turmoil to thrive is a threat to national security.
"Ruto bears the responsibility of security. We don't want kenya to be a state where Kenyans can't be allowed to elect their leaders democratically," she said.
He called for credible and safe elections, urging the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to ensure that the polls are fraud proof and secure.
"The world is watching and we said the elections won't be done with smartmartic being the service provider. Kenya needs to be settled as a democratic country. Kenyans should be allowed to elect leaders without state capture," he said.
Kalonzo, part of the United Opposition, has maintained a stiff censure against President Ruto's regime, accusing it if leading the nation astray.
