Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, wife of Kakamega Senator Dr. Boni Khalwale, has passed away following a sudden heart attack.

The announcement was made by Senator Khalwale in a post shared on his official X account, where he revealed that his wife suddenly collapsed and died earlier on Saturday morning.

"My dear wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, has this morning suddenly collapsed and died after a heart attack," wrote the Senator, paying tribute to his late wife.

Gloria was a mother to eight children: Engine Kukaste Khalwale, Olivia Sabayi Khalwale, Flavia Shimuli Khalwale, Gift Atubukha Khalwale, Meliza Khamwenyi Khalwale, Velma Nasiebanda Khalwale, Sonia Inuni Khalwale and Maura Makatse Khalwale. 

Dr. Boni Khalwale, a medical doctor turned veteran politician, currently serves as the Senator for Kakamega County under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party. 

Known widely across the country for his outspoken political advocacy, legislative influence, and deep connections to Western Kenya leadership, the Senator has received widespread condolences from political colleagues, leaders, and well-wishers across the nation following the tragic news.

Khalwale did not immediately disclose further details surrounding her death or the family's funeral arrangements.
