Isiolo: Police nab 220kg of bhang worth Ksh.6M in major bust

According to Isiolo County Police Commander Moses Mutisya, the drugs were on their way to the neighbouring county of Garissa.

Mutisya reported that two people were transporting drugs in a Nissan Xtrail vehicle but fled after abandoning it, leaving the bhang behind.

Authorities have identified the vehicle's owner, a Meru resident.

Meanwhile, in Isiolo Town, police apprehended Priscilla Mwari, a suspected trafficker carrying 40 rolls of bhang.

Mwari has since been formally charged.

During the same operation, Sarah Thuranira was discovered in possession of 20 rolls of bhang.

Police also arrested Juliet Wambui, also known as "daktari," in Isiolo with various drug administration tools.

The police chief stated that these operations will continue as part of a larger effort to combat drug trafficking in the region.
