the region, drawing participation from local teams and fostering healthy
competition among young athletes.
The event will also be graced by the Cabinet Secretary for
Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs, Hassan Ali Joho, as the chief guest, alongside other government officials and stakeholders.
Organised under the Cheraa Unity Cup initiative, the
tournament has been widely praised for its role in bringing communities

talent.
The initiative aligns with broader national efforts to use
sports as a vehicle for peacebuilding and youth engagement, particularly in
areas where such programs have a strong social impact.
The tournament is sponsored by the OKM Foundation, which has
been instrumental in supporting community-based sporting activities and youth
empowerment programs in the region.
