IG Mutyambai out of office to undergo medical check-up

Inspector General of Police Hilary Mutyambai
has, effective Friday, taken a break from his official duties as he tends to personal health matters.
Mutyambai, in a statement to newsrooms, said
he is set to undergo a medical checkup during the unspecified period of the
hiatus.
He further stated that Deputy Inspector
General - Administration Police Service, Noor Gabow, will take over the reins as
acting IG while he is away.
“This is to inform the general public that I
will be away from office attending to a medical checkup effective today, 26th
August 2022,” read the statement.
“In my absence, Mr. Noor Gabow, the Deputy
Inspector General - Administration Police Service, will act as the Inspector
General of the National Police Service until my return.”
