Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has scoffed at Deputy President Kithure Kindiki's attempt to convince him to join the ruling administration.

This comes after DP Kindiki has been attempting to warm up to Kalonzo during his tour of the Ukambani region, claiming that the Wiper boss can give good counsel owing to his respectable leadership.

Kalonzo however deflated Kindiki's wishes on Sunday, asserting that he cannot join the "blood-based government" and he cannot work with a disingenuous leadership.

The Wiper leader maintained that he will remain rooted in "The United Opposition" and he will continue working with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to unseat the ruling regime.

"I will work with the truthful man called Gachagua. I don't believe this broad-based government is anything to follow. It is blood-based and the latest addition is Albert Ojwang'," he said during a church service in Ngong'.

"You (Kindiki) should have apologised to Kenyans because you were the Interior Minister when Gen Zs were killed. Let's start there. Then also apologize for Ojwang's killing because you are the Deputy President."

He further noted that he should not be used as a political charm to win the favour of Kenyans in the Ukambani region, noting that he still aims to contest against President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.

"Stop using my name. Even Ruto knows that if there is a tough opponent who will face him in the ballot in the next election is Kalonzo Musyoka," he said.

"I have no problem with Kindiki. I have a problem with Ruto who has misled this country and who has to lose in a democratic manner and that is our pledge as a united opposition. We will not relent, surrender, be bribed or be coerced."

Kalonzo also called for the expeditious arrest and prosecution of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Kenya Police Service, Eliud Lagat, who is suspected to be behind the suspected murder of Albert Ojwang'.
