Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga has told of his Kenya Kwanza competitor William Ruto over claims that the government plans to use administrators to bungle the election.

Odinga says his team does not need the help of chiefs and other administrators to win, expressing confidence that a win will come courtesy of Kenyan voters and their choice at the ballot.

The Azimio chief spoke during a rally in Kisumu on Thursday where he called on locals to register a high turn out during elections next week to ensure a win.

“Ati Matiang’i sijui na Mucheru are talking to the administration officers…we do not need the chiefs, assistant chiefs or administration to win this election. We will win this election through the votes of the people of Kenya,” he said.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party boss further defended President Uhuru Kenyatta over attacks from his deputy Ruto.

“Uhuru is the outgoing President of Kenya, leave him alone, let him go and retire in peace. If you have a problem, face Raila Odinga and Martha Karua squarely,” said Odinga.
