Health Cabinet Secretary nominee Susan Nakhumicha Wafula has an estimated net worth of Ksh.101 million.

Wafula made the revelation while appearing before the National Assembly’s Committee on Appointments for vetting on Wednesday evening.

Ms Wafula who previously served as the director at Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) says her wealth emanates from ownership of land and property across four counties including Machakos, Trans Nzioia, Bungoma and Kakamega.

My net worth is about Ksh. 101 million composed of a townhouse I own in Syokimau, an apartment in Syokimau, I have some land in Kangundo, Trans Nzioia, Bungoma and Kakamega counties,” she said.

She went on to indicate that she has purchased shares at the Cooperative Bank of Kenya and is also a member of two SACCOs where she has accumulated millions as dividends.

“I have shares and dividends from the two SACCOs; Waumini SACCO and UN women Sacco and that is what makes up the Ksh. 1.5 million listed.”
