National men's rugby team Shujaa aim to maintain consistency in their chase for promotion following a clinical 20-0 win against Belgium to finish Day One of the Montevedio - Uruguay HSBC II in third.
Following their opening defeat to USA they have picked some valuable momentum with two consecutive wins as young prospect Patrick Odongo continues to impress on the world stage.
Currently sitting third overall in the standings just below the aforementioned USA and Germany who hold top spot in the standings.
Shujaa will look to rely on the youthful explosiveness of the likes of Patrick Odongo as well as the experience of veteran George Ooro to push on and achieve a top three finish.
With momentum on their side day 2 will present them with sturdy tests in the shape of table toppers Germany and hosts Uruguay as a top three finish will highly depend on those two clashes.
Positive results will see them travel to Sau Paulo with the wind in their sails and much heightened possibility for then to be promoted to the top tier later this year.
