Homeboyz skin timid Leopards as Mathare surge continue

AFC Leopards unending drama and poor run continued on Saturday after they were nailed 3-0 by a ruthless  Kakamega Homeboyz in a league match played at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.

Goals from Peter Thiong’o, Ravel Maxwell and George Mandela were enough to seal the victory for Homeboyz, sealing their second victory on the trot.

Elsewhere, Mathare United continued their perfect start to the season with a  3-0 win over Nzoia Sugar in a week two Kenyan Premier League match  played at the Bukhungu Stadium.

Cliff Nyakera, Crispin Oduor and defender Juma Andrew were all on target for the ‘Slum Boys’as they thrashed the sugar millers.

Despite late changes in the game that saw striker Collins Juma and defender Alubala Caleb come in, Nzoia could not pull a goal back.

Meanwhile Chemelil Sugar shared the spoils in a 1-1 with Vihiga United at Chemelil grounds.

Amos Kigadi scored for Vihiga United in the 17th minute to give them the early lead, and in the second half, the home team equalized in the 83rd minute to avoid the ignominy of a second defeat on the bounce .Chemelil lost to Mathare in their season opener.

The one point gained in the match raises Vihiga United to have 4 points in the second matches this is after they thrashed Ulinzi Stars 2-0 in their first match at Bukhungu Stadium.
