The event, the fourth stop of the nationwide series after Vet Lab Sports Club, Nakuru Golf Club and Sigona Club, forms part of Basco Paints' 50th anniversary celebrations and attracted a highly competitive field.
Playing off handicap 24, Mwangi returned an outstanding 45 stableford points to emerge the overall winner, mastering the deceptive layout with precision.
"This being the first tournament by Basco Paints to be hosted here, it is only fair that the first winner also be the chairman of the club," Mwangi joked during the prize presentation.
Jenny Wachuka matched Mwangi's winning tally of 45 stableford points to claim the Lady Winner title. Playing off handicap 32, she finished ahead of Sarah Gatumbu, who carded 40 points, while Muthoni Mwangi completed the podium with 35 points.
The men's race behind the overall champion was decided on countback after Henry Kimotho and Kipngeno Cheruiyot both returned 40 stableford points in a tightly contested battle.
Category B honours went to Jacob Kimani, who fired 39 stableford points to win the men's title, while Emmaculate Mwende topped the ladies' category with 37 points.
Junior golfer Veer Singh stole the spotlight with one of the performances of the day, carding an impressive 44 stableford points off handicap 31 to comfortably secure the junior title.
Sarah Gatumbu also walked away with the Ladies' Longest Drive prize, while Rukwaro Mathenge claimed the men's award. Grace Wanjohi of Vet Lab won the Ladies' Nearest to the Pin contest, with Wiston Kirimi taking the men's prize.
The Duracoat Golf Masters continues to gather momentum as it heads to the next leg, with golfers chasing valuable qualification points for the season-ending finale while celebrating Basco Paints' golden jubilee.
