Harambee Stars striker Ryan Ogam has set a target of scoring at least 10 goals in his first season with his new club, Austrian Bundesliga side, Wolfsberger AC.

Speaking on Citizen TV  Sporty Monday programme,  Ogam said despite missing last weekend's game against Salzburg,  he is still determined to start a new life abroad on a high, when he gets his Visa sorted.

 “My target is to score at least 10 or more goals this season; we still have 19 games to go and I am looking forward to begin my career there on a high so we I am excited and ready to give my all to my new club,” said Ogam.

After signing for Tusker from Rainbow FC in August 2024 following a short stint in Dubai, the forward netted 15 goals in 17 FKF Premier League games before an unfortunate injury cut his domestic season short in March. He went on to become a key figure in Benni McCarthy squad for the CHAN tournament scoring two goals for Harambee Stars who reached the quarter finals, he says he is in the right state of mind to settle quickly in his new club.

“I have the right state of mind to settle in very quickly it is something that I  am determined to do; I have set lesson to learn their native language(German) for smooth communication but all is in the mind and I am ready for it,” added Ogam, during the interview, in which he was flanked by his Dad, David  Rabuok and his dotting mother.

His father, also a former footballer, having turned out for Gor Mahia, talked of the strict discipline and the support parents should accord their kids if they are to make it to the top, in any given sport.

The 20-year-old Kakamega High School alumnus also shared the cordinal relationship he has with Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy who he says “has been crucial in shaping my football career”.

“He has played a huge role in me getting to where I am and improving as a footballer; he is a great coach, who want the best for his players and the team,  I feel privileged working with him,” stated the striker.
