Gor Mahia have fired its technical bench in the wake of poor results in the Kenyan Premier League and picked Ugandan coach Paul Nkata to take charge on interim basis.

Head coach Mark Harrison, his assistant Sammy 'Pamzo' Omollo, and goalkeeping coach Jerim Onyango have all been given the boot.

KÓgalo have struggled in the domestic league with the latest embarrassment coming at the hands of Posta Rangers, a 3-0 walloping which seems to have driven the last nail in the coffin of the technical bench members.

The club is placed fifth in the Kenyan Premier League standings with 27 points after 16 matches of which three are losses, six draws and seven wins.

Paul Nkata, the Ugandan coach who has previously handled Kakamega Homeboyz and Bandari has been tapped to take over.

Nkata, who at one time also coached Tusker FC last left Kenya amidst a storm, after a section of his players at Homeboyz were accused of match-fixing.

Gor are six points adrift of league leaders Homeboyz, and it remains to be seen if Nkata will get the club back to its roaring ways.

They'll however have room of avenging the painful 3-0 defeat when they face Rangers again on Sunday, Feb 6, this time KÓgalo being the host club.
