A Police Officer attached to Kaptumo Police Station in Nandi South Sub County is accused of repeatedly defiling a female learner who was detained on claims that she had refused to go to school.

Speaking to Citizen Digital on phone, OCPD Peter Mbua says the suspect, Constable Jared Okada, after receiving the girl who was escorted to the station by her parents and other family members went ahead and locked her in the cell.

Mbua added that immediately the parents went back home, the officer forcefully committed carnal knowledge on the Secondary School learner. He afterwards handed over duty to his female colleague who called the minor out of the cell to explain why she refused to go to school.

The minor opened up on the sexual harassment by officer Okada.

The OCPD has promised to work with the Directorate of Criminal Investigation Officers in conducting a thorough search to arrest the officer who could not be traced as of Tuesday morning.
