Gichugu Constituency Returning Officer Geoffrey Gitobu is dead

Geoffrey Gitobu, an Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Returning Officer in Gichugu Constituency, Kirinyaga County is dead.
According to Kirinyaga County IEBC Coordinator Jane Gitonga, the Returning Officer collapsed and died on Monday, at 1400 hours.
Ms Gitonga said that a postmortem will later be carried to the body to identify the cause of death.
Kirinyaga County Commissioner Moses Ivuto confirmed the death of Gitobu through a text message to Citizen Digital on Monday evening.
