Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has claimed that police have raided Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah’s home in Western Kenya.

Addressing the press on Saturday at the Wiper Command Centre, Kalonzo said that Azimio One Kenya Coalition had received intelligence that Wajackoyah’s residence was raided, though he did not give details.

“We understand Wajakoya home was raided in Western,” Kalonzo said, while condemning attacks on Opposition leaders.

It is also not yet clear whether the 2022 presidential candidate was at his home during the incident.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, in a statement to newsrooms on Friday night, said security agencies had been tasked to search the area as part of a broader operation which seeks to weed out civilian firearm holders and leaders of known criminal gangs.
