Fast-rising Kenyan motorsport driver Amaan Ganatra has secured sponsorship backing from JCB GPE, Royal Enfield Kenya, Kove and Godrej ahead of the 2026 season.

The support package comes as the 17-year-old prepares for what is expected to be his busiest campaign yet, competing in local autocross events, Motorsport Kenya competitions and the Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship in Britain.

Ganatra will race a Mitsubishi Evo 9 throughout the season as he looks to build on a breakthrough 2025 campaign that saw him clinch the Shell Autocross Championship title in the 4WD Restricted category alongside navigator Mudasar Chaudry.

Speaking on the partnership, Ganatra Plant and Equipment Sales Manager Suhhel Yakub said the brands were keen to support a driver showing strong potential on the local and international stage.

“JCB and Royal Enfield are brands built on performance and reliability, and that is what Amaan has demonstrated in motorsport,” said Yakub.

Ganatra has continued to make strides beyond Kenya’s borders. In 2022, he became the first Kenyan to compete in the European Autocross Championship. He later made history in the Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship after securing pole position in a qualifying heat at Lydden Hill Circuit in England.

Earlier this year, he was recognised at the 254 Motorsports Club Shell Motorsport Excellence Awards following his national autocross triumph.

The teenager now shifts focus to the new season, which begins with this weekend’s Auto X Plus Action event at Stoni Athi Resort.

“This is the season I want to make a real statement,” said Ganatra. “Last year I proved I could compete at the front, and this year I want to win consistently across all disciplines.”

With increased corporate backing and growing experience in international competition, Ganatra heads into the 2026 season as one of Kenya’s most promising young motorsport talents.
