The United Opposition political faction, led by the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua, will be expected to finalise its coastal tour today.

The political faction has been holding public engagements with its supporters in the coastal area as from Saturday, visiting Kongowea and Kengeleni areas of Nyali, Mombasa County.

According to their itinerary, Sunday's tour will see them hit the ground in Bamburi and Changamwe areas, shortly after attending a church service in JCC Bamburi.

The brigade toured Kwale County on Friday, April 24, shortly after running a two-day Ukambani region tour.

The ongoing nationwide tours are part of the opposition’s broader strategy to consolidate support and engage citizens on their political agenda ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Alongside Gachagua, top political dons among them Kalonzo Musyoka, Fred Matiangi and Martha Karua have accused the government of running an incompetent leadership and should not be awarded a re-election in the next election cycle.
