Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua held a meeting at her home in Gichugu, Kirinyaga County.

The meeting was underway with MPS Gathoni Wamuchomba of Githunguri, Jane Kihara of Naivasha, Wanjiku Muihia of Kipipiri and Kirinyaga Senator James Murango among those who accompanied Gachagua to Gichugu.

The Gachagua delegation to Gichugu carried goodies to Karua's home including goats, sheep and farm produce.

The meeting today comes following weeks of exchanges between President William Ruto and his former deputy.

Gachagua has for the last week been hosting delegations at his Wamunyoro home in Mathira in what allies say have been meetings to shop for a political vehicle ahead of the 2027 general election.
