The visit, held as part of the Africa Forward Summit 2026, served as a platform to showcase the vast investment and partnership potential within Kenya's rapidly evolving urban landscape.
Led by GulfCap Real Estate, the tour provided the delegation with a firsthand look at the project, which stands as a premier example of large scale urban regeneration in East Africa.
During the visit, the French delegation noted accomplishments in setting a new benchmark for commercial and residential standards in East Africa.
The visiting delegation underscored GulfCap Real Estate’s robust delivery model in deploying environmentally responsible housing at a transformative scale.
The French delegation lauded the evolution from conventional housing to integrated community ecosystems, noting the sophisticated alignment of commercial precincts, wellness and sporting facilities, and educational hubs within a vibrant, high density urban environment.
Designed as a holistic, integrated community, Starehe Point prioritizes safety, dignity, and long-term liveability within Nairobi’s inner city.
The development is positioned to deliver high density, mixed-use, and transit oriented housing, catering to the specific needs of low and middle-income households.
By actively advancing UN Sustainable Development Goals 6, 8, 11, and 16, the project underscores a commitment to clean water, decent work, and sustainable urban growth.
Beyond residential units, the site features a commercial precinct, kindergarten, gym, swimming pool, and sports facilities, all designed to foster a thriving community ecosystem.
"It is my distinct honor to host this high-level French delegation at Starehe Point," said Chris Ochieng, Chief Executive Officer of GulfCap Real Estate.
"This visit serves as a vital conduit for integrating French partnerships within our vision for large scale, sustainable urban living. We believe this represents a premier first mover opportunity for international firms seeking to anchor their presence within one of Africa's most sophisticated growth corridors,” he added.
