Former FKF CEO Robert Muthomi lands a new role

Former Football Kenya Federation Chief Executive Officer Robert Muthomi has landed a new job, slightly over three years after leaving Kenya’s football governing body.

In a statement on Thursday, the Professional Golfers of Kenya Association (PGK) announced that Muthomi would be joining the sports body as its chief executive officer, effective March 1 2024.

“With a wealth of experience and a profound passion for the sport of golf, Robert is poised to lead the PGK into an exciting new chapter of growth and development,” PGK said, adding that, “Robert’s vision for the PGK aligns perfectly with the organization's commitment to promoting and advancing the sport of golf in Kenya.”

On his part Muthomi who has also previously served in the same capacity at Nakuru All Stars, said that he is  “eager to work,  collaboratively with our stakeholders, members, and partners to elevate the stature of golf and create new opportunities for our professionals.”

The PGK Chairman C.J Wangai also hailed the appointment of the experienced football administrator noting that it marks a pivotal moment for the organisation, as it looks ahead to a future filled with ‘innovation, inclusivity, and excellence’.
